Overcoming – Today’s The Day You Start Again

Here we are, back at Friday. And almost the end of January already, can you believe it?? Are you ready to be on month 2 of 2020? Or are you beating yourself for something you haven’t got done this month?

Perhaps a goal you missed already? Perhaps someone hurt you? Perhaps you your heart is heavy and you don’t see a way out?

Whatever it is that’s holding you back today, let me remind you of something.

We all mess up.

We all make mistakes.

We all fall short of a goal.

We all fall down.

We all have bad days. Really bad days even.

It. Just. Happens. You know why? Cause we’re human.

But you know what doesn’t have to happen?

We don’t have to wallow in our mistakes. We don’t have to give up on that goal. We don’t have to STAY down.

Oh my goodness, if this is you – please hear me!

THERE IS HOPE!

We’ve all been there at one time or another. I’ve been there. And take it from me – you don’t have to stay where you are.

I know, it’s rough. Especially when we’ve messed up again and again. Especially when that goal looks impossible. Especially when the darkness is overwhelming. Especially when it seems as though everyone else is making it.

We’re tempted to think, “What’s the point! Why even try anymore?”

And if this is you, I want you to listen to me.

The POINT is – you are still breathing!

The POINT is – you have people depending on you!

The POINT is – God loves you!

The POINT is – YOU STILL HAVE PURPOSE!!

As long as you have breath, God has a purpose for you!

If you don’t know Him personally, I hope that you will take that step. We’ve all sinned against Him – that’s just who we are as humans. But He makes it possible to overcome. He is our strength. He loves you, He died and rose for you, and He is waiting for you to accept His gift! If you’re looking for victory – accept Him today! And if you ever have questions about that, please don’t ever hesitate to ask.

And if you already have trusted Christ – then wow! You have the God of all creation on your side! How can you not win? Just get back up and keep on going!

Guys, life has a way of beating us down – there’s no denying that. But every single day is an opportunity to start fresh! Forget those things that are behind, and reach forward to all the wonderful possibilites that are ahead!

Don’t think of today as just another day. Think of it as a new start!

Go make a difference!

Go reach that goal!

Go tackle that problem!

Get back up and go live your purpose!
