I Wish God Would Just Fix This!

Life – even the life of a Christiam – is not guaranteed to be struggle free. I imagine we all know that, and yet what is our reaction when that hard thing happens?

There may come a time in your life where you cannot fathom that everything will be okay.

You’re overwhelmed. You’re afraid. And you know your strength is not enough. You’re tempted to wish away your reality and ask God to just change it.

But that’s not faith, and God is not a genie.

Faith is believing that God is with you. That He is for you. And that He can work good right where you are at.

Sometimes it would be great if the circumstances would change. But then you might just miss seeing God do something amazing.

This is so true and something I hang on to.
It’s not always about the end result but the beauty of the journey that God takes you on.

  2. Yes! I’m reminded of Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Everything along the journey, good or bad, can be used for our good and for God to get the glory.
    Thanks for reading! πŸ’—

  3. I love this piece and the idea of God ‘fixing’ life for us. It reminds me of something I wrote once and now keep on the wall above my desk: ‘ Relax, God never goofs.’
ps: thanks for liking bird’s song.

  4. I have witnessed God doing some amazing things during trying times such as these…including changing ME instead of the circumstances πŸ˜‰ What’s that they say?… Sometimes, God calms the storm, sometimes, He calms me!

  5. This is so true! There were times I asked God the same thing “to make fix things fir me”. Then I realized it was wrong to ask Him that way. I need FAITH and strength to overcome such trials , and believe that He is with in every steps I make.
