Are You At All Curious?

So besides Jesus, my family, and my country, here are some things that I’ve been enjoying recently!

(No affiliations.)

1. The Great British Baking Show

Ok, seriously, I’ve been watching this on autoplay. Why is it so interesting to watch people make food??

Does anyone else watch this? It’s good. But fair warning – you may end up with an insatiable craving for pastries and cake.

2. Bark Thins

You know, those packages of dark chocolate covered almonds/pretzels?

So. Good.

Ideally, it’s a good option if you’re craving something sweet. Eat a piece or two, satisfy that craving, and go on with your mostly-healthy day.

Sometimes, though, things don’t go according to plan. Like, most times. So proceed with caution.

3. Vidangel

Have you guys heard of this? I know this totally sounds like a plug, but I promise I am in no way affiliated with them!

Vidangel is a filtering system that connects to Netflix, Amazon, etc. and it filters movies and shows according to your preference. Profanity, immodesty, trigger scenes…whatever you want. It’s it’s really been helpful for our family!

4. My Crock Pot

Ok, for real, this has been one of my FAVORITE things lately. I hadn’t had one for a while, but man, oh man, I have been wearing this thing out! It’s so much easier to just dump everything in and have it cook itself.

And I just bought some crock pot liners, so, things are about to get that much brighter.

5. THIS TIME OF YEAR

These next 3.5 months are officially my favorite months of the year! The cold weather, the boots and scarves, the warm drinks, the festivities. Especially Christmas!

I love it.

So there you have it! Five things I’m enjoying, whether you wanted to know or not!

So what are YOU enjoying right now?

  1. Thankful that I woke up on the green side of the grass ( not under it… πŸ™‚ ) and enjoying every second of time to the fullest… πŸ™‚

β€œLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming; β€œWow! What a ride!” Hunter S. Thompson

  2. I have recently discovered “The Great British Baking Show” and I love it! I watch reruns. There is something about that show that keeps me wanting more. Another fav is the “Kid’s Baking Championship”. The way the contestants on both shows cheer each for each other and share in happy times and sad times, is truly inspiring.

  3. I enjoyed reading about the five things you’re enjoying right now. β€œRejoicing in Hope” – is your first name Hope? My blog is JanBeek – and yes, my first name is Jan. I am enjoying 1) reading blogs like yours, 2) listening to the sound of my husband on the riding lawn mower- knowing how lovely the yard will look when he’s through, 3) feeling the warmth of my buddy on the back of my neck – his name is TazE, my Boston Terrier – he’s perched up in the back of my chair 4) the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven, 5) the anticipation of a friend who is coming to visit this afternoon. Ah yes, life is good!

  4. Being able to wear a sweater or sweatshirt after a long, hot, muggy summer, taking cloud pictures with my phone, singing praises to the Lord for He is awesome! having my husband home for a couple days and getting lots of smooches ’cause he’s missed me, and enjoying the chocolate banana beet gluten-free cake I made for his birthday yesterday that we’re still enjoying for a treat!
