Someday You’ll Fly Again

Flying. Feeling lighter than air. At peace. Not a burden or care to weigh you down!

Unfortunately that’s not always how we feel.

Sometimes life does its best to throw us every curve ball it can come up with. Haven’t we all had a season (or two…or three…) that feels like that?

And a lot of times when we’re right in the thick of it, we don’t see how it will get better. We don’t know how the situation will turn out. We feel tossed back and forth like the cliche boat tossed by the waves.

We feel…overwhelmed.

And sometimes we just want to cry at the thought of pushing through another day. Another moment even. And the thought of plastering on a facade of grace and serenity when inside we are trembling and breaking…maybe it’s better to just stop trying.

But you know what? You can’t quit.

Life is too short…

You have a purpose…

Others depend on you…

You have more to give…

There IS hope…

And even the smallest of baby steps forward is still moving forward. There’s too much life (and at the same time not enough of it) for you to stop now! Find something, ANYTHING, that will be a step forward, and take one. Every day, take one step until you can walk again. Then, run.

And one day, before you know it, you may just find that you’ve found your wings once again.
